Having your hull cleaned and maintained regularly is extremely necessary here. Thru-hull fittings can become clogged and destroy water makers, live wells and A/C units. Bottom paint cannot adhere to the metal running gear of your boat, so growth accumulates fastest in these vital areas. Most importantly, along with regular cleanings we are your eyes and ears under the water and can spot damage and problems before they end up costing you more.

Hull
Cleaning of the entire surface of the hull including any thru-hull fittings, underwater lights, and all chines.
Running gear
Deep cleaning of all propellers, thrusters, rudders, driveshafts, transducers, thru-hull fittings and trim tabs, every visit. Tell us if Propspeed is applied: coated gear is handled by the coating maker's guidance.
Waterline
Thick algae grows constantly on the waterline where the sunlight is strongest. We use soft brushes to remove it while doing no damage to your hull.
Zinc replacement
Zinc anodes prevent electrolysis on your boat and degrade doing it: depending on the electrolysis around your dock they last 3 to 13 months. Checked every dive, replaced at 50%.
Monthly dive report
A report including your zinc percentage and bottom paint condition with every cleaning.

45 minutes to 4 hours per cleaning, depending on growth and boat length. Every 30 days for a boat that stays in the water; every two weeks in nutrient-rich spots or for a hull without bottom paint.

Hull cleaning questions
How often should a boat bottom be cleaned in South Florida?
Every 30 days if it sits in the water, every two weeks in nutrient-rich areas or without bottom paint: barnacles adhere to gelcoat faster and thicker than to paint and can blister it if left too long.
Does the owner need to be there for the cleaning?
No. The diver works from your dock or slip without you; the report and photos arrive afterwards and billing is monthly. Behind a gate, the divers call ahead and send a text right before the visit. If you are around, they will walk you through what they found.
Will cavitation cleaning damage my bottom paint or Propspeed?
No. Ultra-Cavitation lifts growth with collapsing bubbles at far lower pressure than a pressure washer, with no scraper touching the surface: 100% non-abrasive on sound paint and gelcoat at the right standoff. Propspeed-coated gear is handled by the coating maker's guidance (soft cloth, no abrasives, no direct high-pressure water); tell us it is applied.

How often should I get my zincs changed?
Depending on the electrolysis in the water around your boat, zinc anodes last anywhere from 3 to 13 months, so we do not go by the calendar: every anode is checked on every monthly dive, the percentage goes on your report, and we replace zincs once they reach 50%.
