Boynton Harbor Marina on Casa Loma Boulevard sits between Boynton Beach Boulevard and East Ocean Avenue, half a mile south of the inlet, with a fuel dock selling non-ethanol gas and diesel; the city's CRA bought it in 2006. The Boynton Canal (C-16) meets the Intracoastal in the city, and it is one of the three canals, with C-51 and C-17, that bring fresh water into the Lake Worth Lagoon. East of US-1 the canal is a manatee slow-speed zone, and from the Lantana Avenue bridge south to the marker north of East Ocean Avenue the whole lagoon is slow outside the channel.

Water near the marina is ocean water from the inlet mixed with lagoon and canal water, so it is salt one tide and brackish the next. That mix changes how fast a hull fouls and how fast zincs wear, which is why our divers record what they see every month instead of assuming.
