Hull Cleaning, Dock & Seawall Divers in Lantana, FL

The Lake Worth Lagoon turned brackish once its inlets were cut, and canals like C-51, C-16 and C-17 keep fresh water flowing into it. South of the Lantana Avenue bridge the lagoon is a manatee slow-speed zone outside the marked channel, the backwaters east of Hypoluxo Island have a 50-foot shoreline slow zone, and north of the bridge there is a 300-foot one. Water is 21% of the town's area, and nearly all of it is slow.

Brackish water grows a different mix than open ocean: more slime and waterline algae, still plenty of hard barnacle on the props, shafts and rudders that bottom paint can't protect, and zinc wear that changes with the salt. We clean every 30 days and record each anode's percentage so nobody guesses.

Hypoluxo Island, mostly in Lantana with its southern tip in Manalapan, has deep-water docks with ocean access through the Boynton Inlet, and it is where most of our Lantana hull, dock and seawall work happens, all at private docks. Sportsman's Park on East Ocean Avenue has two ramps, 27 trailer spaces, fish-cleaning stations and a seawall fishing pier, open around the clock with a town decal; the trailer boats that launch there go home dry, and the boats that stay in the water behind Hypoluxo homes are ours. A Hypoluxo dock sits in the brackish backwater slow zone, where oysters coat the pilings without anything to disturb them; we clean them without pickaxes or chisels and inspect them bare. We have not researched a Lantana seawall rule, so a seawall inspection here is about the wall's condition and the lender-required documentation a sale needs: $250 for a home, $350 for a multi-family property, cleaned first, with cracks filled all the way through with custom cement tubes.
